JASON QUEENSBURY’s job is one of the most important at the Burger King on Joppa Road in Towson. He cleans all surfaces in the dining room and restrooms and takes out the trash Wednesday through Friday. At 32, he has flourished in his time at The Arc.

When he finished school, Jason transitioned to our Towson Community Employment Connection to gain work experience. As he thought about the kind of jobs he wanted, he moved on to the Career Catalyst program.

Through those opportunities he was exposed to the many things employers look for in hiring. His Burger King job is relatively new, and he loves the work. “I learned a lot at The Arc,” he says, “especially how to be on time. I use the Mobility van.” He also is pleased with his paycheck, which goes straight into his savings account.
