Internships

Internships

We welcome undergraduate students to participate in one of our day programs as an intern and within a particular course of approved study in an area college or university. Working alongside staff, interns can participate in activities within the center location and/or on outings in the community. Interns have the opportunity to get to know people with developmental disabilities and engage in a variety of interactions – some of which are educational or just for fun, and some of which are purely assisting with daily needs like lunch prep and clean-up. If this is for you, complete the intern application.

Graduate students with concentrations in social work, psychology, counseling, or similar fields may apply to intern within our clinical services or foster care department. Complete the intern application and send your resume to cknoerlein@thearcbaltimore.org. You will be contacted for an interview if we have openings.

Please note, that if we accept an intern, they must agree to a required background check and an orientation to The Arc, and then regular check-ins.
