When making a donation to The Arc Baltimore, you can designate your contribution to make a greater impact on a particular program or service.
Assistive Technology
Our Assistive Technology (AT) programs aims to connect people with disabilities with technology to promote independence and facilitate communication both at home and at work. Devices include iPads, large-key touch keyboards, software programs, and other tools. Your contributions help purchase devices for our loan library and for people who cannot afford it!
Contact Daphni Steffin if you would like to donate any working technology (computers, iPads, iPods, phones, etc.) to our AT program.
Bay Buddies
Eighty students with significant disabilities attend our Bay Buddies summer camp and enrichment program where they explore the bay and the environment through engaging activities like sailing and horseback riding and field trips to the Science Center and Living Classrooms campus.
Connections
Our Connections singles group offers outings in the community for adults with disabilities to develop relationships at dances, socials, and local attractions. Your contribution can help others find love or friendship!
Day Adventures
A variety of outings are arranged for individuals in our day centers to attend art classes, visit museums, volunteer to deliver food to the elderly, have pizza parties, and other outings. Your contribution can provide more enriching opportunities!
Family Fund
Families of children with disabilities can face huge financial challenges. The Family Fund targets eviction prevention, BGE bills, wheelchair ramps, therapies, respite care, camps, eyeglasses, diapers, and a host of other needs. Your contribution is vital!
Life Enhancement Fund
Often the individuals we support have very limited personal means but dream of a trip to Ocean City or a visit to far-away family. They may yearn for a TV for their room or a new outfit for a special occasion. Your contribution can fulfill these special wishes!
Project SEARCH
Our latest Project SEARCH program at Northwest Hospital, is the first of its kind in Baltimore County. Participants experience focused education and real-work training with a rotation of three internships.
