PLANNED GIVING

Leave a Legacy with The Arc Baltimore

By including The Arc Baltimore in your will or estate plans, you can continue to make a meaningful impact on the lives of people with developmental disabilities for generations to come.

Bequests to The Arc support our endowment, which our Board of Directors carefully manages. Since 2012, a portion of the endowment’s earnings has been allocated each year to fund vital programs and initiatives, including enriching activities at our centers, updating furniture in residential homes, and providing emergency support through our Family Fund. As the endowment grows, so does its impact. Your legacy gift continues to give year after year.

Ways to Give

Including The Arc Baltimore in your estate plan is a powerful way to support our mission while also meeting your financial goals. You may choose to:

Planned giving can be simple. Here’s sample language to share with your attorney:

“I bequeath to The Arc Baltimore the sum of $______ (or specific asset such as a policy, trust, stock, or real property) to be used for its charitable purposes.”

To amend an existing will, you can add a codicil such as:

“I add to my existing will dated [insert date] the following provision: I bequeath to The Arc Baltimore the sum of $______ (or specific asset) to be used for its charitable purposes.”

You may also designate a percentage of your estate or a residual bequest.
