The Arc Baltimore Expands Services into Anne Arundel County!
We are thrilled to share that The Arc Baltimore is expanding its vital services into parts of Anne Arundel County!
This expansion is a natural fit, building on the strong foundation we already have in the county. We currently have dedicated staff, foster families, and established job contracts in place, making this an opportunity to deepen our commitment to the region.
Why This is Happening
This opportunity arose earlier this year when a chapter of The Arc disaffiliated. To ensure that The Arc maintains a statewide presence for families and people with developmental disabilities, The Arc Baltimore is stepping forward to serve Districts 1, 2, and 3 of Anne Arundel County. Our partners at The Arc Southern Maryland will serve the remaining districts.
Our Thoughtful Approach to Growth
We are committed to growing in a thoughtful and sustainable way. This journey begins immediately:
Year 1: Our focus will be on building visibility, establishing strong partnerships, and carefully assessing the specific needs and demand for our services across the three districts.
Year 2 and Beyond: Based on our assessment, we will then explore adding the necessary staff and infrastructure to provide a full range of services as needed.
The enthusiasm has already been wonderful! We’ve heard from families, employers, schools, and community leaders in Anne Arundel County, and their feedback, combined with our long history of service, positions us for meaningful and strategic growth.

If you live in Districts 1, 2, or 3, contact The Arc Baltimore Outreach Department.
