The Arc Baltimore has rescheduled its 26th Annual Golf Tournament.
The tournament – whose proceeds benefit programs and services provided by The Arc Baltimore to adults and children with developmental disabilities and their families – will now be held on Tuesday, September 29, at The Hillendale Country Club, 13700 Blenheim Road N, Phoenix, MD 21131.
The tournament originally was scheduled to be held in mid-May but was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“The Golf Tournament has become one of The Arc Baltimore’s biggest annual fund-raisers, contributing nearly $100,000 each year toward programs and services to support people with developmental disabilities,” says Kathleen McNally Durkin, the organization’s Chief Executive Officer.
“The generosity of our golfers and a host of corporate sponsors – including our title sponsor, Scientific Plant Services – enable us to help people with disabilities to live independently, have meaningful jobs and friendships, and participate as active citizens in the community,” Durkin continues.
The Arc Baltimore Annual Golf Tournament will feature 18 holes of golf, including several special holes and a number of opportunities to win individual prizes, team prizes, and door prizes. Golfers will also be able to have a chance on a great assortment of items – from golf foursomes to sports memorabilia – as part of the raffle/auction.
In light of the continuing pandemic, numerous precautions are being taken to ensure golfers have a safe experience. Tee times will be staggered in morning and afternoon slots to ensure easy social distancing, with times starting every ten minutes at 8:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Plastic dividers will be installed in each golf cart.
In addition, grab-and-go breakfast and lunch will replace the standard continental breakfast and luncheon programs, and refreshments will be available at the clubhouse and on the course.
Participation in The Arc Baltimore’s 26th Annual Golf Tournament is $200 for individual golfers and $800 for foursomes. There is also a wide range of sponsorship opportunities available, all of which provide benefits to maximize exposure for your company, beginning as low as $250.
