The Arc Baltimore’s Education Series consists of seminars that are designed to gain a deeper understanding of various topics regarding individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the entire lifespan.

Independent Travel

Traveling throughout the community can be terrifying for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Travel planning is designed to assist individuals in learning how to independently and safely travel to their desired destinations. Join us in learning about effective travel planning strategies utilizing Maryland Transit Administration services and alternatives.

Participants will learn:

  • Different types of alternative travel methods
  • How to obtain MTA Mobility services
  • The process and benefits of travel training
  • Future of transportation for The Arc Baltimore
