Education Series

The Arc Baltimore’s Education Series consists of seminars that are designed to gain a deeper understanding of various topics regarding individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the entire lifespan.

Next Session:

SEX & RELATIONSHIPS

(ADULTS ONLY)

Families of individuals with I/DD are sometimes protective and/or uncomfortable when thinking about their loved ones as interested in romantic relationships and sex. During this presentation, participants will also learn: Strategies to initiate conversations about relationships, boundaries, sexuality, sexual health, personal safety, and ways to support your family member to explore all aspects of the human experience.

SEX & RELATIONSHIPS

(TEEN EDITION)

Parents are often uncomfortable engaging teens in a discussion about their bodies, intimate relationships and consent as they age. Allow the Community Education Team from TurnAround, Inc. speak with your teens. Turn Around’s Education Team presentation will entail conversations and activities that delve into the topics of consent, age appropriate behavior, healthy vs unhealthy relationships and five types of abuse.
