Advocacy 101 Workshop

Advocacy 101 Workshop

In preparation for DD Day at the Legislature on 2/12, The Arc Baltimore held an Advocacy 101 workshop for families. The presenters offered their unique perspectives to help demystify the advocacy process. As a result, they empowered those in the packed room to speak up and get their voices heard.

A million thanks to Supano’s Steakhouse, Rico Winston and The Israel Winston Family Empowerment Corporation for providing a wonderful meal for the event.

Kudos to the following presenters and organizations for participating: New Hope for All, People On The Go of Maryland, Mat Rice, Maryland Developmental Disabilities Council, Kennedy Krieger Institute’s Maryland Center for Developmental Disabilities and Project HEAL, The Arc Maryland / Ande Kolp, Christian J. Miele, Barb Wagner / Wagner Family, Delegate Brooke Lierman, Maryland Association of Community Services (MACS), Rico and Israel Winston, Little Lobbyists / Laura Hatcher and Kathleen Durkin.
