The Arc Baltimore’s Education Series is a series of seminars provided each year that are designed to gain a deeper understanding of various topics regarding individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across the entire lifespan.
Talking To Youth About Sexuality & Intimacy
A special session for foster parents
Youth in foster care may have extra challenges when building healthy attachments and trusting relationships. As they get older, those challenges can be amplified as they explore sexual relationships. Expert facilitators will be on hand to share information and insights re: supporting LGBTQ youth, exploring values and boundaries, having difficult conversation and much more. Bring your questions and concerns.
Foster parents from all agencies are welcome. Certificates from training hours provided.
