Our intention is to maintain a running list of upcoming community events for the many families and individuals in our network.  We plan to highlight those that provide additional accommodations for those with disabilities.

Looking for free or low-cost activities for the family? Check out your local Baltimore City and Baltimore County Recreation and Parks website and guide. During the month of September, enjoy fun activities like fishing, nature walks, Frisbee and golf at Druid hill Park, gardening, etc. Please visit for more information.

Looking for a safe and fun place for your teens to mingle and have fun? Towson presents: Rockin Jump Dance Party. All pre-teens and teens (11-17) are welcome to come hang out or rock out to the latest popular music on Friday nights. Price $14. Dress code enforced.

Camp Fairlee is located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and is owned and operated by Easterseals Delaware & Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The respite weekend program provides outdoor recreation, fun and friendship in addition to community inclusive activities for children and adults with disabilities. The weekend allows parents and caregivers a short interval of rest and relief from the 24-hour responsibility of direct care or service. Program activities vary by group, but may include arts and crafts, music, adventure activities and field trips. For more information visit

The Recreation and Parks Department has 10 canoes and 10 kayaks available. We provide staff and guided tours. Depending on the participants comfort level there is self-guided paddling and tips/ group lessons available at this time. PLEASE ARRIVE PROMPTLY. Please RSVP early to reserve your spot in a boat. $10 for City residents $20 for Non- residents provides everything for paddling the Middle Branch. Pre- registration is required to reserve your spot. 

Bookworm Storytime
First Friday of every month

Enjoy a nature story with the storyteller’s choice of an activity such as an animal encounter, puppets or a craft, in partnership with the Reisterstown Branch of the Baltimore County Public Library. Dress for a brief outdoor experience. Toddler to age 6 – FREE No registration required. 

Inner Harbor Spirit Sightseeing Tours

Join us Friday-Sunday and other select dates, March through October (Wednesdays and Thursdays as well – May to August), for a 60-minute interactive tour and sightseeing cruise from the Inner Harbor! Kick back and relax as you take in the sites and enjoy an animated narration of Baltimore’s rich history. There is a well-stocked cash bar – and new rooftop bar! – and light concessions from our onboard snack bar.

Harbor Waterfront Kayak Tours
June 01, 2018 – October 31, 2018
Weekly on Sunday, 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Join BCRP and the Healthy Harbor Initiative for a Sunday of paddling. Departing from the Science Center, we explore the Inner Harbor. 15 slots available. Participant restrictions are determined by life vest size and boat space. Not recommended for beginner kayakers. PLEASE ARRIVE PROMPTLY. Pre- registration is required.

Pints in the Park
Second Fridays, July – Oct, 5-8PM
This popular outdoor happy hour features live music, corn hole, ping pong, and more. Local beer and wine will be sold for stellar happy hour prices – $3 each, or 2 for $5, plus cocktails from the Tiki Bar. No cover charge *Bring cash for beer, wine, and Tiki Bar cocktails Center Plaza is located off the Purple Circulator route at N. Charles & Fayette Street. Parking is available in the garage under the plaza, or along Liberty Street. The plaza is bike, stroller, and pet friendly, and has free WiFi. There is a Baltimore Bike Share stop in the plaza for easy accessibility.
