Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families, and others will have an opportunity to talk with representatives from some of the biggest names in assistive technology when The Arc Baltimore holds its 2018 Assistive Technology Fair.
To be held on Thursday, May 10, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., at The Arc Baltimore’s Seton Business Park location (6151 Metro Drive in northwest Baltimore), the Assistive Technology Fair will offer participants a chance to learn about devices and services that can help people with disabilities increase independence in areas such as communication, work, telephone access, and much more.
“The Assistive Technology Fair also provides a great opportunity to find out more about assistive technology that can help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to overcome barriers to independence in employment,” says Daphni Steffin, Director of Assistive Technology for The Arc Baltimore.
The Arc Baltimore’s Assistive Technology Fair is open to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their family and support team members, and other professionals in the field. No RSVP is required and light refreshments will be served.
