Art in the Round brought together a magical mix of artists, family, and friends to celebrate the talent and generosity at the 22nd annual event. More than 300 gathered for competitive bidding on art, chances on a Toast to Tuscany, fantastic food and drink, live art creation, and pure enjoyment at witnessing the artists' pride.
In addition to our sponsors, we thank the committee members, especially our chairs, Jen Brandenburg & Laura Ward, and our staff volunteers, who gave their time and creativity to make the evening a success.
The theme of this year's Fund the Mission appeal, which raises additional funds for The Arc, was Friendships We Treasure, which showed a small sample of the friends and relationships supported by the organization. Please give yourself a few minutes to enjoy and reflect on what friends mean here at The Arc – and to each of us.
The appeal remains open through October 31st, and we hope you will watch the video and choose to contribute – and help us reach our goal.
CURATOR NIGHT
Before each Art in the Round, a group of esteemed members of the Baltimore art community participate in our Curator Night event, where they discuss the piece of art they personally selected for Art in the Round. They also share what is happening at their respective institutions and engage in dialogue on the intersection of disability and art. Tune in on October 4 at 7 p.m. to view the event on our website, YouTube, and Facebook.

MEET THE ARTISTS
At each Art in the Round event, we identify several artists whose work has captivated attendees year after year, and we feature them in artist profile videos that provides an in-depth look into their creative process and stories behind some of their more memorable pieces.
Some 350 artists and guests enjoyed a return to Art in the Round in person with absolute enthusiasm. Bidding on art was competitive and the live auction saw a top bid of $2,000. If you missed the event, the virtual gallery is still open for viewing. Live pledges and gifts were then made to the Fund the Mission appeal adding to the advance online contributions for a total just shy of $60,000. Help us reach our final goal of $65,000 by donating below!
The evening was capped by the drawing for the winner of the Bottles to Bordeaux raffle who will enjoy an exclusive experience at a chateau in Bordeaux, France. Check out the event photos that convey the excitement of the artists and the enjoyment of all who attended.
